May 25, 2011 · 2 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Failure Date: 05/25/2011. We have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra that is continuously burning up headlight bulbs. There are numerous complaints in regards to this, but Hyundai has yet to recall any vehicles. My husband is replacing at least 1 bulb month. Common for this Elantra is cvvt and camshaft failure. See handful of times it will not set a check engine light and only present issues when coming to a stop. There is a test to ground the cvvt. My 2018 did the same thing and it ended up being the ignition coils and spark plugs that needed replacing.
