The property is on Fleming beach but the hotel sits on a hill about 300 yards above the beach. For those not wanting to walk up and down the "hill" they offer golf cart service. Although Kapalua can be windy we have always loved the place.
The rooms are large and very well appointed. Just 2 things we didn't like, no ocean view, which was a disappointment when you travel to a island resort and this Ritz is located in the rainy part of Maui, and this held true almost every day. The pool area was beautiful and the hiking trail through Kapalua was awesome.
